SPANISH BUSINESS COUNCIL | Annual General Meeting

2016 results were presented and the new 2017 committee was elected.

More than 40 companies were present at the Spanish Business Council Annual General Meeting celebrated at Media One Hotel, Dubai. The presentation was conducted by Mr. Ricardo Fisas, CEO of Natura Bissé and current President of SBC and Mrs. Irene García Lasala, Executive Director of SBC. Among the attendees were Mr. Santiago Jiménez, Deputy Head of Mission & Consul at Embassy of Spain in UAE, Mr. Erik Rovina, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Spain in UAE and Mr. Saeed Al Najjar, Senior Executive, External Relations at Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The most significant achievements in 2016 are the members growth, the new website design as a main plattform for Spanish companies in UAE and more business oriented events. In line with the 2017 objectives the Spanish Business Council celebrated his First Inter Business Councils Infrastructure Event jointly with 5 other business councils.

Regarding 2017 objectives it is important to note that SBC is a platform that helps members to connect with companies related to their commercial activities, with business councils and with other members. SBC offers also a customised service to each one of its members.

The new committee has been constituted with the following members: Amadeus (Agustin Rodriguez), Arteche (Tomas Solis), BBVA (Anouar Zaoudi), CaixaBank (Maya Khelladi), CEPSA (Ramon Areitio), Mediapro (Mario Bayarri), Multilem (Dorothee Anjos), Natura Bissé (Ricardo Fisas), Banco Popular (Pablo Rengifo), United Advocates (Maria Rubert), Wafi Hospitality (Mariano Andrés). Doctor Vending (Juan Pablo Nabas) will also be part of the committe as a permament guest.
