Nearly 200 people came together to celebrate the annual SBC gala dinner on the 19 March. The event took place at the Fairmont hotel the Palm located in Dubai, where members and friends of the Spanish Business Council enjoyed a great evening.
Mr Guillermo Cobelo, new Chairman of the Spanish Business Council, welcomed the UAE authorities guests: H.E. Ahmed Bin Jabbara AlMarar, Director of the office of H.E Ahmed Jumaa Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs.,H.E Brigadier Yusuf Ismail Al Khouri, Deputy Director of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, Col Hadif Alkhayili, H.E. Engineer Ateeq Khamis Al Mazrouei, Director Gerneral Western Region Municipality.
H.E Ambassador Antonio Alvarez Barthe attended and addressed the guests of the gala.
The Government of Spain was represented by Mrs Cristina Serrano Leal, General Director for International Economic Relations Ministry of Foreigns Affairs, Mr Jose Luis Kaiser Moreiras, General Director International Trade and Investment Ministry of Economy and Mrs Myriam Perez Nogueira, Deputy General Director for Trade Policy with Middle East (M.Economy).
Once the reception ended, the guests passed to the courtyard where the presentation and speeches appears. During the act, a very emotion moment happened when Ricardo Fisas, former Chairman of the Spanish Business Council had received from H.E Ambassador Antonio Alvarez Barthe “Orden del Mérito Civil” granted by King Felipe VI.
