Amazing evening for the Spanish Business Council and their members. In the Annual General Meeting celebrated on the 27th of January at Media One Hotel the Chairman of the SBC, Guillermo Cobelo, explained the excellent results achieved in 2018. Highlighting the recognition of the Spanish Business Council as an Official Chamber of Commerce of Spain by the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry of Spain.
We counted with the presence of the Ambassador of Spain in the UAE, Antonio Álvarez Barthe and the Economic and Commercial Counselor of Spain in UAE, Erik Rovina. The Ambassador had some words to the members standed out the importance of the spanish value that it is increasing thanks to its economy.
Afterwards, the election of the executive committee of 2019 started, where the members had to vote the candidates and give their approval of the annual accounts of 2018 and budget for 2019. This year has been different as we organized the AGM together with an Extraordinary General Meeting to vote the update of the Articles of Association under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce requirements that were approved unanimously.
