During this Business Breakfast we hosted an introduction panel to the new Halal Certification System from DAC/EIAC (UAE Government Institution) with the following participants:

– ECI – Safety Horizon (Certification Body) – Dr Anas Khalifa

– Traza Consultores (Accredited Lab and Consultancy firm specialised in Food Safety and Hygiene) – Dr. Vicente De Pablos

• Role of DAC/EIAC, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Emirate in the Halal global scheme.
• Conformity according to standards in different sectors: Agriculture, Cattle and Slaughtering, Food Processing. Impact in the value chain.
• Countries and scope of adoption.
• Smart monitoring , Smart logo and New Technologies in the traceability systems.

Among the participants were members of Spanish Economic and Commercial Office and Spanish Companies participating in Gulf Food.
